The Loomis Company participated at The Big Cheese event on June 14, 2019. This event is held by United Way of Berks County. This is the largest United Way driven meal packaging event in the country. Over 1,000 volunteers came together to help package over 500,000 nutrient-fortified mac-n-cheese meals and rice and beans for local families in need. Helping Harvest (formerly know as the Greater Berks Food Bank) distributed the meals to local school children through the Weekender Backpack program, as well as, through food pantries located throughout Berks County.
